WHAT CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

For kids ages 5-15 we have classes for the following ages and levels;

Gi Classes
Ages 5-6 All Levels

Ages 7-15 Beginners (White Belt to White Belt with 3 Stripes)

Ages 7-8 Advanced (White Belt with 4 Stripes and Up)

Ages 9-15 Advanced
(White Belt with 4 Stripes and Up)

No Gi

Ages 6-15 All Levels


All our Adult Classes 

WHAT CLASS IS RIGHT FOR ME?

For kids ages 5-15 we have classes for the following ages and levels;

Ages 7-15 Beginners (White Belt to White Belt with 3 Stripes)

Ages 7-8 Advanced (White Belt with 4 Stripes and Up)

Ages 9-15 Advanced

All our Adult Classes are for All Belt Levels. You can book your free trial for any of the classes at any level.


WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR MY FREE TRIAL CLASS?

Please wear athletic clothing (no jeans). We do have some loaner Gi's at the Dojo that you can wear during your free trial. Bring a water bottle, there is a water dispenser available for refills. You will also need a pair of flip flops to change into to wear into the longe areas and bathrooms/change room.


HOW DO I BOOK A FREE TRIAL FOR MORE THAN ONE FAMILY MEMBER?

To register multiple family members for a free trial class, please contact info@dobjj.ca with names, birthdays and an e-mail and we will set up your family account.


DOES SENSEI DALLAS TEACH ALL THE CLASSES?

Sensei Dallas teaches classes on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday evenings, Thursday evenings, Friday All Classes and Saturday All Classes. We have three other instructors that run our morning classes as well as Sunday and Monday classes.

STUDENTS

  • Bow on and off the mats.
  • Keep a respectful posture in the dojo.
  • Classes begin with a formal bow to the Sensei with students lining up in descending order.
  • Classes end with a formal bow to the Sensei and good training DO BJJ hand shakes.
  • If you need to leave the mat or leave class earlier, you must ask permission from the Sensei.

STUDENTS

  • During class, when the Sensei is demonstrating the technique, students should sit silently with legs crossed or sitting on your knees.
  • Talking should be kept to a minimum and relate to the class subject.
  • No foul language inside the school.
  • Bow and shake hands with your partner before and after training.
  • Refer to all black belt instructors as Sensei or Professor.
  • Behavior that is repeatedly disrespectful could result in dismissal from the gym.

PARENTS

  • Please, no coaching from the sideline. This can be discouraging and create conflict.
  • Keep all other children off the mat during class.
  • Please have cell phones on silent to keep distractions to a minimum.

  • Wash your Gi, Rash Guards, Belts etc., after each training session to prevent skin infections for yourself and others
  • Cut your finger nails and toe nails
  • Long nails are not permitted as they could injure others
  • Do not wear jewelry while training
  • Keep long hair tied up
  • Make sure to shower after training t
